Measurements are done directly on the moving sample in the process stream. A high-intensity dual-lamp light source illuminates the sample directly. The light interacts with the sample transmitted light is measured by the diode array sensor. The backup lamp in the dual lamp system secures uptime and analytical accuracy is unchanged even after switching to a new lamp.
The complete wavelength range is measured instantaneously enabling measurements also on fast moving samples with high accuracy. Calibrations are transferable between units ensuring easy expansion to other measurement points. Integration to process regulations systems can be done through the FOSS OPC interface.
Process Touch™ software
ProFoss works with ProcessTouch™ software. This includes features for PLC interface and data management. Special software algorithms for flow administration - and a data base model of the process flow system - make it possible to provide real time information about volumes and compositional values in the process.
Networking software
ProFoss analyzers are supported by the RINA software suite. This provides an Internet-based network connecting individual instruments to a control centra. NIR experts at the center perform monitoring and management tasks remotely, allowing the local user to get on with routine analysis operations secure in the knowledge that an instrument is running perfectly and delivering reliable results.
All prediction models and products are set up in RINA just once for the entire network. Any changes or updates are easily made and positively implemented throughout the network using a Network Manager program. This assures the integrity of the complete analytical system.
